01

Before you travel

  • Confirm your travel arrangement and accommodation.
  • Check whether you require a Kenya Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA).
  • Plan around the full event window, including the welcome dinner and ACFA gala launch.
  • Share your complete arrival and departure itinerary through the official delegate process.
  • Declare dietary, medical, mobility, interpretation or other access requirements early.
02

Entry into Kenya

eTA

Travellers who require an Electronic Travel Authorisation must receive approval before departure. Check exemptions and use the official Government of Kenya process.

Passport

Carry a passport valid for at least six months after arrival, with at least one blank page. Keep your return itinerary, hotel confirmation and convening invitation accessible.

Health documents

Review Kenya Port Health requirements before travel and carry a valid yellow-fever certificate where applicable.

03

Getting to Mombasa

Fly to Mombasa (MBA)

The simplest arrival route. Moi International Airport is roughly 25–35 km from Shanzu; allow time for luggage, transfer and registration.

Connect through Nairobi (NBO)

Allow enough time for immigration, baggage collection, customs and terminal changes. Separate tickets create more missed-connection risk.

Madaraka Express / SGR

A practical option for delegates travelling through Nairobi. Build in road-transfer time at both Nairobi Terminus and Mombasa Terminus.

Domestic road travel

Plan rest stops and avoid arriving late or fatigued immediately before the welcome dinner.

Arrival transfers

Submit your full itinerary — arrival point, date, time, flight or train number and mobile contact — through the official delegate channel. A transfer is confirmed only after the organisers acknowledge the request and share a meeting point or driver contact.
